"How's the weather currently in Munich?" (Ben)
"Cold. And we have snow too. Or rather a lot of slush on the streets, if it's just Munich concerning. But
in the Alps, it's great gorgeous winter weather." (Roland)
"Sounds awesome!" (Ben)
"Do you and Julie have any preferences to go? You haven't told me about this yet. Your email contained
just the itinerary" (DE: Reiseplan). (Roland)
"Not really. I'm not particular. I'm already happy to be able to spare some time for seeing you and Ute.
Julie is the same. When was it the last time we had been visiting you both in Munich? I think already
two years ago, isn't it?" (Ben)
"Yeap, positive. Two years." (Roland)
"It's due then", and now he laughed relaxed. (DE: Dann wird's Zeit und ist schon überfällig) (Ben)
"Anyway ..., expect a good time here with us. Ute made already some plans, whereas I had been pretty
busy the last few weeks to think straight." (Roland)
"Can you already betray me some of Utes plans? Would like to feed Julie to make her even more anx-
ious." (Ben)
"O-kay", sagte Roland langgezogen. "Let me rack my brain. Hmm, ..." dann sagte er: "Thursday you are
arriving. So, you both need first to recover and recharge. We will just spend time at home and in the
evening, we will have dinner together here at our house". (Roland)
Dann fuhr Roland fort: "Friday would be a day in particular Julie might like. We plan to take you out to
the Pinakothek. Do you know what the Pinakothek here in Munich is?".
"Of course, who do you think I am, someone from a cave?", dabei lachte er. (Ben)
"No, please don't get mad at me!" (Roland)
"Julie will be thrilled to go to the Pinakothek. Did you know that she has a master degree in art?" (Ben)
"Yeap, I know, I remember, Julie mentioned it occasionally when we had been at the New York Metro-
politan Museum of Art." (Roland)
Dann fuhr Roland begeistert fort: "Hey, I didn't tell you yet that I bought a new large camper van. That's
where we plan to take you and Julie out to those pretty towns for some day trips. You will be surprised
when you'll see it when we will pick you up at the airport!"
