Customize your Project Plan

Within these dependencies we can also define whether there is a common beginning or a
common end of the tasks either:
FS = Finish-Start (this is the standard) and it is not supposed to be declared: FS means, when
one task ends ("F = finish"), only then will the other task start ("S = Start").
SF = Start-Finish: This dependency type can be avoided when you just switch the chronological
order of the two tasks.
SS = Start-Start: e.g., 23SS means, both processes begin (S = Start) together, regardless of their
duration.
FF = Finish-Finish: e.g., 28FF means, both tasks are supposed to finish together at the same
time, regardless of their duration)
We can also specify delays or accelerations with a certain time taken into consideration. Smart-
sheet calls it "Lags", but I think "Overlapping" describes the term a lot better, because the
purpose behind this, is to safe time because the tasks run then more or less parallel.
Example: 32FS-2d means, task 33 can already start 2 days earlier and has not to wait until task
32 is finished.
